a specific period of time as specified under the statute and Legasis helps the Companies through a structured offering for Preservation of Documents (‘’PODx’’). The type of documents include Constitution
Documents, Certificate, Application Forms, Registers, Approvals, Licenses, Notices, Resolutions, Records, Consent Letters, Counter foil, Contracts, Statement of records, Returns etc., and are required to be
maintained for a specified period or permanently by both listed and unlisted companies.
Thus, it is extremely vital for every Company to have a policy on Preservation of Documents to safeguard itself from Statutory and Business risks. Regulation 9 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations 2015 requires listed companies to have a Policy for Preservation of documents, approved by its Board of Directors, classifying them in at least two categories as follows-
